Elixir is a technical festival held in College of Engineering, Chengannur. The event concentrates primarily on popularizing and giving awareness of emerging technological innovations in the field of engineering.

Elixir was first held in 1998. It was at this time IEEE-CEC was the third largest student branch in the asia pacific region. Elixir’98 had participation from almost all the major technical institutions in Kerala. Second Elixir was held in 2000. Elixir 2000 was completely hosted by the IEEE students Branch and it included a number of technical seminars and contests for the participants.

Third Elixir was in 2004 and was a grand success in fulfilling its vision of equipping students with hands on experience in day-to-day technical tools and also enhancing their management and organizational capabilities. It was a ten day venture which included both workshops and seminars. The topics were chosen after considering their importance in the student’s academic and professional life.In a nutshell, Elixir boasts of a tradition of attracting immense participation from various colleges all over South India and widespread acclaim from students and sponsors.
